The AUDD Mint Portal and API operate across two distinct environments - Sandbox and Production - designed to support a smooth and secure transition from testing to live operations.

🧪 Sandbox Environment

The Sandbox environment provides a fully functional simulation of the AUDD system, allowing Distributors to develop, test, and validate their integration safely before handling real funds. All actions performed in this environment use testnet AUDD, and no real Australian dollars, ensuring that your workflows can be trialled without risk.

You’ll begin your onboarding journey in the Sandbox by default. This allows your team to:

• Test minting and burning transactions using testnet AUDD.
• Validate webhook integrations and system notifications.
• Ensure proper reconciliation and AML/CTF workflows are functioning correctly.

🚀 Production Environment

Once your integration has been successfully tested and approved, your Distributor account will be migrated to the Production environment, where real funds and mainnet AUDD are used.

This environment connects directly to live AUDD liquidity across supported chains, enabling your team to operate fully - minting, burning, and managing real AUDD backed by Australian dollars held in custody.
